Corolla  Outer Banks Vacation Rentals

Corolla is a wonderful place for Outer Banks vacation with a family. There’s one road up the middle and oceanside on the right, soundside on the left. There is lots of space to run around at the lighthouse and Whalehead Club area on the sound side. Oceanside has beautiful sunrise. They have private parking for CC renter/owners and there is trolley service that takes you to the beach and people to help you bring your stuff up the steps over the protected dunes, across the deck and back down again onto the beach. Don’t forget to bring good strong higher end kites (not dollar store types) to fly in the great breeze on the beach in the early evening.

Finding Right Corolla Vacation Rentals

Finding right Corolla vacation rentals are not that difficult. You can go online or call your travel agency on Corolla vacation rentals for your coming vacation. Before then, let’s have some ideas about Corolla communities before you decide to rent your rental house.

The Currituck Club is a nice community to stay in and fantastic for families. It has a clubhouse with some game tables and a workout facility. It has pools and tennis courts. It’s a soundfront community but it has a shuttle service to take you to the beach if you don’t feel like walking. It has a golf course, too. It’s a nice area to ride bikes, too. Harris Teeter is the grocery store on route 12 at the entrance of the Currituck Club near Crown Point. You will find shopping and restaurants nearby.

There’s a great little pool at the Currituck club house that’s fun for younger kids. If you have a large group with different ages and personalities, the Corolla Light probably useful for the group. Corolla Light is an area within Corolla. If you are in the Corolla Light area, you will have use of wonderful amenenties, such as the trolley, the pools, and the sports complex. Currituck Lighthouse is a tourist destination with great view, spiral climb to the top. It is a bit pricy at Timbuktu Shopping Center but you can enjoy mini golf, bumper cars and go-carts. There is a movie theater. Several companies also offer eco tours and horse viewing in the 4wheel drive area north of Corolla.

Now in terms of choosing your Corrola vacation rentals, there are several different places to choose from which are Ocean Hill, Corolla Village, Whalehead, Monteray Shores, Ocean Sands, Currituck Club, Spindrift, Pine Island.

The only one of these areas that has a gate is the Currituck Club, but usually anyone can just drive through. I would say the community with the most to offer is by far, Corolla Light. And it is one of the prettiest. Corolla Light Resort is also a choice as Corolla vacation rentals. The name says resort but it offers a ton more stuff than the other areas in Corolla such as indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a rec center with Gym equipment, raquet ball courts, a playground, great beach access and family activities. I like about that place is the gated shallow pool for little ones.

A lot of houses in Whalehead have private pools and will fit a group your size. Depending on where you stay, you could also walk or ride a bike to shopping, restaurants or just to get the morning paper. Great beaches, not crowded, not a lot of night life. There are a couple of bars and a movie theatre. If you Google Corolla vacation rentals, you will come up with some good rental agencies as Brindley Beach, Twiddy, Sun Realty NC.
